Vlog 4: We Stopped in Alabama for the Night & Swam In a River
A travel day through Mississippi into Alabama, and somehow we ended up swimming in a river by the campground.
Mississippi to Alabama. the south keeps delivering.
we broke camp in Edwards and made our way east. the drive through this part of the country is underrated — not the flashy scenery people post about, but green and thick and alive in a way that feels important.
Escatawpa Hollow in Wilmer, AL ended up being one of those unexpected spots. river running right through the property. we swam. lucy stayed dry. miley did not.
there’s something about stopping in a place you’ve never heard of and finding a river you didn’t know existed. that’s the whole thing, really. the campground app gives you a pin on a map but it doesn’t tell you what it actually feels like to be there.
florida is close now. you can feel it starting to change — the air, the trees, everything getting a little more tropical.
