Vlog 3: We Drove Through Louisiana and Crossed the Mississippi River
Louisiana flew by the windows and then we crossed the Mississippi — one of those moments that makes you feel the scale of this country.
coffee again. then the road.
we left Marshall and drove straight through Louisiana — bayous, billboards, and that thick southern air. there was a gas spill situation that we’ll just say was humbling and leave it at that.
crossing the Mississippi River with the rig is one of those things. you’re sitting up high in the truck, pulling a 32-foot home, watching this massive river pass underneath you. it doesn’t get old.
we landed at Askew’s Landing RV Campground in Edwards, MS. quiet. trees. exactly what you need after a full travel day.
this is the part of the trip where you start to feel it — the country is big. like, actually big. and we’re moving through it slowly enough to notice.
